About me 

Hello! I’m Alissa — a creative who loves turning ideas into visuals that feel thoughtful, human, and truly alive. I’ve spent the past nine years working across design, content, and marketing, helping brands express who they are through storytelling, imagery, and intentional strategy.
 

My approach blends creativity with clarity: I love big concepts just as much as I love the details that make them real. Whether I’m directing a photoshoot, shaping a campaign, building a social narrative, or designing a visual system, I’m always thinking about how things feel — and how they connect back to the heart of the brand.
 

Most recently, I’ve been leading creative at Sympli, a Canadian fashion brand, where I guide seasonal campaigns, styling, photoshoots, video content, and social strategy. I also work across two sister brands, bringing cohesion to a multi-brand portfolio while managing timelines, teams, and high-volume asset creation.
 

Before Sympli, I spent years working closely with Canadian businesses on their marketing and creative direction — a time that taught me the value of collaboration, trust, and building work that has purpose behind it.
 

At my core, I’m passionate about creating things that matter, supporting the people around me, and bringing a sense of intention to every project.

  • April 2024 - May 2025      |     Sympli


    At Sympli, I led the development and execution of the brand’s visual identity across digital, print, and social platforms. This role blended creative direction with strategic content planning to maintain a cohesive and compelling brand presence.
     

    I designed all marketing assets—including photography, video, packaging inserts, and lookbooks—and collaborated cross-functionally with product design, eCommerce, and sales teams to align creative with business goals. I also managed a robust photoshoot calendar, overseeing everything from pre-production planning and model selection to on-set direction and post-production editing.
     

    In addition to design, I created and executed social media content strategies to drive engagement and support key product launches. This included original photography, video, and creator partnerships, always keeping a close eye on trends and brand alignment.

    Following the brand’s acquisition, I expanded my role to lead creative across two additional sister brands—overseeing content, styling, and shoot direction while ensuring alignment with each brand’s unique identity and business goals.
     

    Key skills: Adobe Creative Suite, brand storytelling, photoshoot production, video editing, content strategy, and project management.

  • July 2016 - Present      |     Touch Creative Marketing

    Driven by the influx of requests, I transitioned to a full-time freelance Digital Marketer/Creative Designer in 2020. Over the past 4 years, I've retained nearly all clients and consistently expanded my clientele annually, solely by word-of-mouth.

  • March 2017 - April 2019      |     Dolce Real Estate 

    As the head of marketing,  I led the development and implementation of marketing strategies and material for both brand and listing exposure. This naturally evolved into additional freelance collaborations with colleagues, fostering enduring relationships and ongoing partnerships in my full-time freelance career.
