About me
Hello! I'm Alissa Engelhardt, a Creative Designer and Marketing Manager with a knack for crafting strategic marketing plans that bring local businesses—and brands—to life. Over the last 9 years, I’ve poured my heart into my marketing agency, achieving significant growth for numerous Canadian businesses by tailoring strategies to their unique needs and goals.
In the past year, I took on a new challenge as Creative Content Manager for Sympli, a Canadian fashion brand, where I led everything from seasonal campaign direction and styling to photoshoot production, video creation, and social media strategy. From concepting and casting to directing on set and editing final content, I oversaw the full creative process. As the brand was acquired and expanded, I took on creative leadership across it's two sister brands—ensuring alignment while managing timelines, resources, and results.
What sets me apart? A unique blend of creativity, strategic insight, and a business owner's perspective, understanding the importance of trust, passion, teamwork and commitment.
Fuelled by a desire to make a tangible impact, I’m now focused on roles where I can both lead and uplift a creative team—helping others reach their full potential while propelling the brand forward together. My goal is to be deeply embedded in a team where I can shape creative direction, foster collaboration, and drive meaningful growth from within.

April 2024 - May 2025 | Sympli
At Sympli, I led the development and execution of the brand’s visual identity across digital, print, and social platforms. This role blended creative direction with strategic content planning to maintain a cohesive and compelling brand presence.
I designed all marketing assets—including photography, video, packaging inserts, and lookbooks—and collaborated cross-functionally with product design, eCommerce, and sales teams to align creative with business goals. I also managed a robust photoshoot calendar, overseeing everything from pre-production planning and model selection to on-set direction and post-production editing.
In addition to design, I created and executed social media content strategies to drive engagement and support key product launches. This included original photography, video, and creator partnerships, always keeping a close eye on trends and brand alignment.
Following the brand’s acquisition, I expanded my role to lead creative across two additional sister brands—overseeing content, styling, and shoot direction while ensuring alignment with each brand’s unique identity and business goals.

Driven by the influx of requests, I transitioned to a full-time freelance Digital Marketer/Creative Designer in 2020. Over the past 4 years, I've retained nearly all clients and consistently expanded my clientele annually, solely by word-of-mouth.
March 2017 - April 2019 | Dolce Real Estate
As the head of marketing, I led the development and implementation of marketing strategies and material for both brand and listing exposure. This naturally evolved into additional freelance collaborations with colleagues, fostering enduring relationships and ongoing partnerships in my full-time freelance career.

As a Quality Control Technician in construction, I honed exceptional management skills and an unparalleled work ethic. Overseeing several teams through extended 12 to 15 hour workdays 7 days a week, instilled in me an appreciation for hard work.
