About me

Hello! I’m Alissa — a creative who loves turning ideas into visuals that feel thoughtful, human, and truly alive. I’ve spent the past nine years working across design, content, and marketing, helping brands express who they are through storytelling, imagery, and intentional strategy.

My approach blends creativity with clarity: I love big concepts just as much as I love the details that make them real. Whether I’m directing a photoshoot, shaping a campaign, building a social narrative, or designing a visual system, I’m always thinking about how things feel — and how they connect back to the heart of the brand.

Most recently, I’ve been leading creative at Sympli, a Canadian fashion brand, where I guide seasonal campaigns, styling, photoshoots, video content, and social strategy. I also work across two sister brands, bringing cohesion to a multi-brand portfolio while managing timelines, teams, and high-volume asset creation.

Before Sympli, I spent years working closely with Canadian businesses on their marketing and creative direction — a time that taught me the value of collaboration, trust, and building work that has purpose behind it.

At my core, I’m passionate about creating things that matter, supporting the people around me, and bringing a sense of intention to every project.

Let’s create something impactful together.

  • April 2024 - May 2025      |     Sympli

At Sympli, I led creative direction and brand evolution across digital, retail, and campaign environments during a period of growth and transition. My role sat at the intersection of strategy and execution, shaping how the brand showed up visually while ensuring every touchpoint aligned with long-term positioning and commercial goals.

I partnered closely with Product, Merchandising, Ecommerce, and Sales to translate seasonal priorities into cohesive campaign systems across web, email, social, paid, print, and in-store environments. From defining visual language and refining brand storytelling to directing photo and video shoots, I remained deeply involved in both concept development and hands-on production.

Following the brand’s acquisition, I expanded my scope to lead creative across two additional sister brands, stewarding each brand’s unique identity while building scalable systems that improved speed-to-market and cross-channel consistency. During this period, we delivered the strongest quarterly performance in three years, increased social engagement by 238 percent, and supported full-price sell-through on previously aged inventory.

My role at Sympli centered on shaping a visual ecosystem that upheld brand integrity while driving measurable business performance.

  • July 2016 - May 2025      |     Touch Creative Marketing

Touch Creative Marketing began organically during a transitional period in my career. As I moved out of a previous in-house role, former colleagues and industry contacts began reaching out for support on brand positioning, campaign direction, and creative execution. What started as select side projects quickly evolved into a steady stream of partnerships, eventually becoming a full-time consultancy built entirely through referral.

I worked closely with founders and senior leaders to clarify brand positioning, define visual identity systems, and build cohesive campaign frameworks that carried consistently across ecommerce, social, retail, and paid environments. From brand refreshes and ecommerce relaunches to seasonal campaign direction, I remained involved from early concept through execution, shaping both the strategic narrative and the creative expression.

This included redefining typography and layout systems, refining digital storytelling, directing photo and video shoots, and developing integrated assets across web, email, social, print, and in-store marketing. One apparel relaunch resulted in a 358 percent increase in social traffic, a 287 percent increase in email traffic, and a 1.8 percent lift in site-wide conversion within six months.

The consultancy grew entirely through long-term partnerships and word-of-mouth, grounded in clarity of thinking, strong creative direction, and measurable business impact.

  • March 2017 - April 2019      |     Dolce Real Estate

As Marketing Coordinator and Client Care lead for a high-performing real estate team, I built and managed the full marketing function in-house. I developed the brand’s visual presence across print, digital, and social, creating listing materials, campaign collateral, and brand assets that supported both long-term positioning and day-to-day sales activity.

Working closely with an external agency partner, I deepened my technical skill set in paid media, search, and content marketing. Through that collaboration, I began managing Google and Meta advertising, blog strategy, and website optimization, translating agency-level strategy into hands-on execution internally.

The team consistently ranked among the top producers in their office, and our marketing efforts significantly increased website traffic and listing visibility. This role became the foundation for many of the freelance partnerships that followed, built on trust, performance, and long-term relationships.
